JOINT LAW ENFORCEMENT OPERATION TARGETS OFFENDERS WITH STATE AND FEDERAL WARRANTS

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – On Tuesday, March 18, 2025, the Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC) led a coordinated law enforcement operation in Lee County, Alabama, aimed at apprehending individuals with state and federal warrants. ADOC joined forces with the following agencies for this operation:
U.S. Marshals Service, Middle District of Alabama
Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force
U.S. Attorneys Office, Middle District of Alabama
Drug Enforcement Administration
In addition, ADOC also received assistance from:
Lee County Sheriff’s Office
Bullock County Sheriff’s Office
Opelika Police Department
Auburn Police Department
This operation is part of a broader initiative to not only apprehend wanted criminals but to combat contraband, particularly illegal drugs, within the state and its correctional facilities. Arrest warrants were executed for:
Darius Briscoe, state warrants for Conspiracy to Commit a Controlled Substance Crime and Conspiracy to Promote Prison Contraband
Taliyah Oliver, state warrants for Conspiracy to Commit a Controlled Substance Crime and Conspiracy to Promote Prison Contraband
Tylexus Shorter, state warrants for Conspiracy to Commit a Controlled Substance Crime and Conspiracy to Promote Prison Contraband
Jerald Massey, state warrants for Conspiracy to Commit a Controlled Substance Crime and Conspiracy to Promote Prison Contraband
Commissioner John Q. Hamm said, "ADOC’s partnership with local and federal law enforcement agencies strengthens our collective efforts to ensure public safety by upholding and enforcing the law."
These investigations are ongoing and further arrests are pending.
