William “Bill” Lawley currently serves the ADOC as Associate Commissioner of Administrative Services with responsibility for the Central Records, Information Systems, Personnel and Training & Development divisions.
After completing junior high and high school in Montgomery, he went to Auburn University where he majored in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations and graduated with a BSBA in March 1979.
Bill joined the ADOC’s Personnel division in April of 2007 after spending 24 years in the private sector in manufacturing management and Human Resources roles with companies such as Fairchild Semiconductor, National Semiconductor, Schlumberger, SGS Thomson Microelectronics, Steel Heddle Mfg. and Texas Instruments. Just prior to joining the ADOC, he spent four years as an independent contract recruiter for companies such as Frito-Lay, Gulfstream Aerospace, PepsiCo and Safety-Kleen.
